About this job
Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Quality Control Technician on behalf of a local partner in Corsicana, TX. If you thrive in a hands-on role where precision matters and production moves fast, this could be your next step.
A day in the lifeIt’s Monday, 6:00 AM, and you’re on site. You start by checking aggregate stockpiles—running gradations, moisture checks, and specific gravity so the day’s mixes begin with verified materials. As trucks roll and panels are cast, you’re at the forefront: performing plastic concrete tests to ASTM/ACI standards and preparing specimens for later strength testing. Before each pour, you verify the setup, review the concrete mix design for the structural or architectural application, and confirm pre-tensioning/post-tensioning cable details. After the pour, you return for post-pour inspections, document results, and flag anything that’s out of spec.
Throughout the day, you monitor production quality, record every test and inspection, and collaborate with the production team—clearly communicating any nonconformances and helping implement corrective actions. Indoors or outdoors, you’re comfortable moving between the lab and the plant floor to keep quality aligned with expectations.
