Job Summary:

Under a crew leader’s guidance and with additional training, the incumbent in this position will work to maintain landscaped grounds to a specified high standard. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

High school or GED preferred

Experience

Prior landscape maintenance preferred, but not required.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration

Valid Florida driver’s license preferred

Other

• Dirver's license REQUIRED.
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to perform duties that require a great deal of bending.
• Able to use edger, leaf blower and lawn mower to maintain grounds.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions. 
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn, use of tools, equipment and supplies relative to landscaping duties.

Job Duties

Essential Duties

% of Time

• Identification and removal of plants determined to be weeds in their present locations.
• Removal of any debris, litter, and trash in and around shrub beds.
• Removal of dead leaves, flowers and other materials, and trimming as instructed.
• Add additional mulch and removing old mulch from beds

• Assist other staff with other landscaping responsibilities as needed
