Pathlink is seeking a Surgical Pathologist for a Medical Director position at St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic, NJ

St. Mary's a well-established hospital in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Medical Director of Pathology & Clinical Laboratory Services to lead a collaborative, high-functioning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pathologist looking to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities in a supportive, stable environment.

Position Highlights

• Leadership role overseeing Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Services
• Monday to Friday position 9am-5pm
• Balanced role: ~85% clinical sign-out / 15% administrative
• General Surgical Pathology practice with manageable case volume of 25 cases per day
• Participation in Tumor Board and on-call rotation
• No autopsies required
• On-site PA support for grossing
• Collegial, team-oriented hospital environment

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. with Board Certification in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
• Active New Jersey medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of Laboratory Director experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with hospital operations, quality improvement, and medical staff functions
