JOB TITLE:
Floor & Cleaning Technician

Environmental Service Multi Facility Project Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Floor Technician is responsible for:
Upholding Live Well’s mission statement and attending to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. • The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our residents that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.
Responsibilities
A successful multi-facility floor & cleaning technician will be able to:
Surfaces: Power wash or scrub stainless-steel, metal, vinyl, and all other surface types to remove liquids, dust, grease buildup, food debris and stains.
Walls: Scrub and clean all walls to remove liquids, dust, grease buildup, food debris and stains.
Floors: Power and/or hand scrub all floor types to include tiled, grout, vinyl, concrete, VCT, linoleum, rubber and hardwood floors. This process includes cleaning all baseboards, baseboard buildup, food debris and stains.
Clean under all kitchen equipment to remove liquids, dust, grease buildup, food debris and stains.
Clean all stove tops, cooking grills, ovens, food prep surfaces, food storage shelves, etc.
Clean all floor runners and floor mats.
Operate a variety of motorized and manual equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, mops, etc.
Coordinate with the Food Service team to clean inside all freezers.
Ensure equipment is transported to facilities where work is being performed.
Remove, transport and discard food, recycling and landfill waste.
Be able to safely use cleaning chemicals such as floor neutral cleaners, floor strippers, floor degreasers, soaps, all-purpose cleaners, etc.
Be a licensed driver and have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle such as a van, pickup truck or box truck.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned and not mentioned within this job description.
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety, be aware of any company related practices.
Requirements
Proven experience with cleaning surfaces and scrubbing floors
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
Ability to independently utilize floor cleaning and scrubbing machinery
Customer oriented and positive friendly attitude
Prioritization and time management skills
Working quickly without compromising quality
Knowledge of English language
High school or GED
Customer service skills
Ability to operate floor scrubbing machines
Ability to speak, understand, read and write English
Physical Requirements
Standing up 95% of time
Lifting and carrying 20% of time (up to 50 lbs)
Lifting and carrying 10 % of time (50 lbs to 75 lbs)
Pushing and pulling 95% of the time (up to 50 lbs)

Exposure
Exposure to chemicals both hazardous and caustic, affecting eyes, hands, face lungs, etc.

Sound levels may be high due to machinery
