Crisis Intervention Specialist

POSITION: Crisis Intervention Specialist - Behavioral Health

LOCATION: Canton/Macomb

HOURS: Variable

Position Overview:

• Completes assessments of clients in crisis within ED of local hospitals to determine appropriate level of care
• Completes de-escalation of clients with acute symptoms
• Screens and evaluates clients for higher level of care
• Completes clinical assessments and treatment plans for clients deflected from ED
• Completes referrals for follow up from ED or to inpatient psych facilities
• Works after hours on a rotating evening and weekend schedule

Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s Degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Family Therapy or Human Service Field or LPN/RN
• Bachelor?s Degree in like field with 2 years? work experience in a Behavioral Health setting
• High School Diploma and 5 years working experience in clinical role in a behavioral health setting
