JOB TITLE: Custodian/Cleaner

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain and protect the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. As the internal and external appearance of our buildings reflects on their occupants, this role requires diligence and a commitment to maintaining high standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial and grounds maintenance, with strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of floors through      sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing.
• Empty, clean, and maintain trash      receptacles and recycling bins.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock bathrooms.
• Service and maintain custodial equipment      as required.
• Perform minor repairs on furniture,      buildings, and equipment as needed.
• Report safety, sanitary, or fire hazards      to the appropriate department promptly.
• Secure premises by locking and unlocking      windows, doors, and gates.
• Ensure external grounds are maintained      and free from debris.
• Occasionally drive company vehicles for      equipment or supply pickups.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)      required.
• Previous experience in custodial,      janitorial, or groundskeeping roles preferred.
• Strong ability to follow verbal and      written instructions.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50      pounds.
• Comfortable performing physically      demanding tasks such as squatting, bending, twisting, and kneeling.
• Working knowledge of custodial practices,      materials, and techniques.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at      heights when required.
• Proficient in the safe operation,      maintenance, and storage of custodial equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work in various environmental      conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.
• Must possess the stamina to cover large      areas and handle physically demanding tasks.
