Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is based in a healthcare facility within the radiology department specializing in computed tomography (CT). This role involves performing CT scans and general radiology exams such as X-rays, with responsibilities including scheduling mobile units and maintaining departmental equipment. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care and imaging accuracy.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, ARRT certification (for radiologic technologists), ARRT license for North Dakota (CT certification not required), valid North Dakota license, one year of relevant experience
- Preferred Qualifications: IV starting capability, experience with Epic electronic medical records and PACS imaging system, familiarity with Toshiba, Carestream, and Siemens imaging equipment
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Ability to perform CT scans and general radiology exams, including X-rays, with an average of 5 scans/studies per day
- Department specifics: One CT scanner (Toshiba), one mobile X-ray unit (Siemens), and one X-ray room (Carestream). No radiology assistants are utilized, but some lab personnel are limited X-ray technicians.
- Additional responsibilities: EKG procedures (training available), and coverage includes mobile and general radiology exams.
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), and valid licensure in North Dakota.
- Shift & scheduling notes: Days shift, Monday to Friday, with call and response time requirements of 20 minutes for weekly night shifts, including Fridays, with specific departmental dress code preferences.
- Note: No radiologist in-house; department orientation is provided. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three shifts for shorter assignments.
