Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is based in a healthcare facility's radiology department specializing in computed tomography (CT) and X-ray imaging services. The role involves performing a variety of imaging studies, including CVA, basic chest, abdomen, pelvis, trauma, and pediatric cases, with a typical workload of 10-15 scans per shift. The technician will support the department's operations across multiple hospital areas, adhering to established protocols and certifications.
Job Details:
- Shift: 10-hour shifts, starting from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with specific shifts on Mondays and Fridays for outpatient and urgent care, and weekend coverage for CT. Night shifts are typically from 3:30 AM to 6:00 AM, with a rotating schedule based on department needs.
- Required Qualifications: ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT), BLS Certification, minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R), valid licensure to submit, and ability to start IVs preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong experience with Siemens imaging equipment, familiarity with EPIC and McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS, and previous experience working in high-volume outpatient and urgent care settings.
- Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts weekly, totaling at least 40 hours, with coverage on weekdays and weekends; shift hours are 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Additional Information: The department utilizes EPIC and PACS systems; orientation includes up to three shifts. The facility enforces a radius rule of 50 miles for candidates' permanent addresses prior to submission to ensure compliance.
- Certifications & Experience: ARRT (CT), BLS, ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in CT imaging.
