Process Piping Project Engineer

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking a Process Piping Project Engineer in Orange County to coordinate and support major mechanical and process piping projects from kickoff through closeout.

Impact

• Help deliver large process piping projects on time and on budget.
• Be the technical link between field crews, project managers, vendors, and clients.
• Strengthen financial performance through accurate procurement tracking, labor forecasting, and billing.

Responsibilities

• Draft and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, subcontracts, and procurement logs.
• Perform material takeoffs and solicit vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Interpret plans and specifications to monitor progress and resolve installation challenges.
• Execute subcontractor buyouts and track procurement to delivery.
• Coordinate kickoffs, BIM coordination sessions, and scheduling reviews.
• Track labor, review invoices, and develop client billings.

Must-Haves

• Project engineering experience in process piping or mechanical construction.
• Ability to perform takeoffs and manage buyouts.
• Strong documentation and billing discipline.

Nice-to-Haves

• Life science or industrial process experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in Orange County.
