Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Orange County to lead HVAC system design for large commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects.

Impact

• Design systems that perform the way the drawings promise.
• Cut energy use with smart load calculations and modeling.
• Raise the whole team's game by mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of chilled water, hot water, VRF, and air distribution systems.
• Produce and review drawings in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Run load calculations, energy models, and performance analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and field crews so design meets installation.
• Mentor junior engineers and share what works.

Must-Haves

• Five or more years designing commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards, Title 24, and the California Mechanical Code.
• Familiarity with Orange County building requirements.

Nice-to-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Leadership training or industry certifications.

Compensation and Logistics
