Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:15 PM–12:45 AM | Monday–Thursday
Overtime: Fridays depending on production needs
Pay: $19.00–$20.00/hour

Job Summary

Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands and takes pride in producing quality work? We're seeking a SIPs Shaper/Production Laborer to join our production team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll help manufacture and finish Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) used in construction projects.

The ideal candidate is comfortable using hand and power tools, can accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch, and is ready for a hands-on position in a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a SIPs Shaper/Production Laborer, your core responsibilities will include:

Shape & Finish Panels: Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish Structural Insulated Panels according to specifications.
Read Measurements & Work Instructions: Accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch and follow blueprints and work instructions to ensure products are built correctly.
Inspect Product Quality: Check finished panels for quality and accuracy before they are prepared for shipment.
Material Handling: Move and handle materials throughout the production process as needed.
Production Support: Assist with production activities to help maintain workflow and meet daily production needs.
Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work area while following established safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous manufacturing, construction, carpentry, or woodworking experience preferred.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to work 2:15 PM–12:45 AM, Monday–Thursday, with Friday overtime depending on production needs.

Skills

Measuring Skills: Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch to ensure products meet specifications.
Hand & Power Tools: Comfortable safely and effectively using a variety of tools to shape and finish panels.
Blueprint & Work Instruction Reading: Ability to follow blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and producing properly finished products.
Physical Stamina: Ability to remain active throughout the shift and safely handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other production team members to meet daily goals.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized manufacturing environment.
