Plumbing Project Engineer

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a Plumbing Project Engineer in Orange County to support large commercial plumbing projects, including hospital and medical gas systems, from preconstruction through closeout.

Impact

• Help deliver plumbing scopes where precision and coordination decide the outcome.
• Keep large, multi-phase builds on schedule and on budget.
• Build toward a full project management role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily plumbing activities across commercial and healthcare job sites.
• Draft and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement logs.
• Review plumbing and medical gas drawings and flag installation issues early.
• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and deliveries on critical-path work.
• Compile change order packages and track labor and material costs against budget.

Must-Haves

• Project engineering or field experience in commercial plumbing.
• Ability to read plumbing and medical gas drawings.
• Bluebeam and project management software skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Medical gas installer or verifier background.

Compensation and Logistics
