Neurosurgery APP | Surgical & Neuro-ICU | (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)
Position Details- Position: Neurosurgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Location: Central Florida
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Experienced provider required.
- Prior neurosurgical experience preferred.
- Prior surgical experience necessary.
Join an established neurosurgery team in the area with four neurosurgeons, four APPs, two neurointerventional and two neuro-hospitalists. This role combines operative, neuro-ICU, trauma and outpatient responsibilities with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a busy neurosurgery service.
- Participate in approximately three operative days per week, including cranial and spine cases.
- Perform bedside neuro-ICU and neurosurgical trauma procedures.
- Provide approximately two days per week of outpatient clinic care.
- Participate in shared call responsibilities.
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Experienced provider required.
- Prior neurosurgical experience preferred.
- Prior surgical experience necessary.
- 20% cranial and 80% spine operative mix
- Comprehensive neuroscience team
- Level I trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
- Neuro-ICU, neuro-stepdown and neuro floor support
