Brake Press Set-Up

POSITION – Brake Press Set-Up Operator

JOB LOCATION – Port Washington, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp to hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 2nd Shift, 2:00pm to 12:00am

STARTING PAY – $19.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Manufacturing experience preferred; strong mechanical aptitude required

As a Brake Press Set-Up Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating brake press machinery to bend and form metal components according to blueprint specifications. This role requires precision, mechanical ability, and the ability to ensure parts meet strict quality standards through measurement and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up brake press machines using proper tooling and setup procedures
• Operate equipment to bend and form metal parts to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Perform quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all production and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical instructions
• Experience with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is a plus
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to travel if required
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
