Registered Nurse II, Surgery (AHCL)
Job Summary
The Operating Room Staff Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients across the age spectrum within the Surgical Services Department, functioning as a scrub, circulating, or float nurse and supervising and coordinating care planning with other disciplines.
Education & Experience
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing: Required
Licenses & Certifications
• Current California Registered Nurse license: Required
• Current BLS certification, recertified every two years: Required
Key Responsibilities
• Functions as a scrub, circulating, or float nurse in the operating room as assigned.
• Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct and maintains established hospital-wide and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participates in the site identification process and time-out on each case.
• Provides an optimal physical and emotional environment for the patient.
• Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, licenses, certifications, and education requirements as outlined by local administration and regulatory agencies.
• Rotates to PACU, Outpatient Endoscopy Unit, and Central Service as assigned, and shares call duty as required.
