Personal Care Aide (PCA)

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides essential support to clients in private homes, assisting with daily living activities to promote independence and well-being. The PCA plays a vital part in following care plans, maintaining detailed paper logs, and supporting clients with both personal care and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Support client mobility and daily living activities
• Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance as needed
• Offer companionship and light housekeeping services
• Follow client care plans and adhere to agency policies
• Maintain accurate documentation using paper logs
• Report any changes in client condition to the nursing supervisor
• Run errands and accompany clients to doctor appointments

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of personal care experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
