### The Role

We are looking for a proactive and engaging Retail Sales Associate to join our floor team. You will be the face of Hill Country Outfitters, responsible for driving sales by providing exceptional wardrobing advice, building relationships with our clientele, and ensuring the sales floor reflects our premium brand standards.

### Key Responsibilities

**Sales & Customer Experience:**

* Greet and assist customers with a welcoming, consultative approach, moving beyond transactional ringing to true wardrobing and styling.

* Act as a brand and product expert, educating customers on materials, brand history, and care instructions to drive higher Average Order Values (AOV).

* Master product sizing and fit (especially in premium footwear and apparel) to ensure customer confidence and maintain our exceptionally low return rates.

* Process transactions efficiently and accurately through our Point of Sale (POS) system.

**Merchandising & Display:**

* Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring mannequins, window displays, and feature tables look immaculate and reflect current seasonal priorities.

* Ensure all items are properly tagged, priced, and steamed/folded according to store standards.

**Operations & Floor Maintenance:**

* Maintain a pristine sales floor, including continuous recovery, folding, organizing, and light daily cleaning.

* Execute daily restocking from the backroom to the sales floor, ensuring all sizes and styles are fully represented.

* Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, organizing backstock, and participating in physical inventory counts as needed.

### Qualifications & Requirements

* Previous retail sales (premium boutique or footwear experience is a major plus).

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a diverse, high-end clientele.

* Detail-oriented with a strong sense of visual organization and tidiness.

* Comfortable using modern retail technology, including POS systems and inventory tablets.

* Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift/move boxes of inventory (up to [25] lbs.) on a daily basis.

* A team player attitude with the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak retail hours.

### Compensation & Benefits

* **Hourly Rate:** $19.00-24.00 per hour, based on experience.
