WAREHOUSE LEAD (EMS / ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING)
Location: Milpitas, CA
Shift: 1st
Type: Contract-to-hire
Pay Rate: $23–$24/hr (DOE)
Johnson Service Group is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead for one of our clients in a fast-paced Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment. This role supports day-to-day warehouse execution, drives operational improvements, supports team development, and helps ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in supervising warehouse operations, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor department KPIs and operational metrics; take corrective action as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Support employee training, mentoring, performance evaluations, and development plans.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and internal procedures.
• Support Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO compliance requirements.
• Assist with resource planning to meet production and operational goals.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Provide daily guidance and support to material handlers and warehouse staff.
• Prepare reports, maintain records, and perform data entry as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of warehouse/logistics experience in an EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) environment.
• 3+ years of warehouse supervisory or leadership experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Forklift experience preferred, specifically stand-up reach forklift.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of import/export compliance requirements and warehouse best practices.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement preferred.
• Understanding of EMS operations and NPI (New Product Introduction) processes preferred.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
