Job Details:

• Perform a full range of diagnostic radiography exams in a safe and prudent manner to produce highest quality diagnostic results
• Utilize automatic exposure control and technical factors including kvp, ma, time, and distance accurately
• Select appropriate cassette types, collimation, and tomographic factors for each exam
• Assist attending physicians during radiological exams as needed
• Apply proper positioning techniques to image and identify appropriate body parts and acquire necessary views
• Transport, transfer, and position patients safely while evaluating their mental and physical condition
• Follow hospital, departmental, and examination protocols
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment and perform quality assurance on films and equipment
• Schedule examinations and review daily scheduled exams for corrections, additions, and cancellations
• Ensure exams are completed including Teleradiology of films
• Perform necessary paperwork and archiving
• Handle confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Apply infection control principles and maintain sterile techniques
• Occasional heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs.)
• Frequent and prolonged standing and walking required
• Must be enrolled in an ARRT-approved program
• Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification RT(R) required
• ARRT(R) registration required
• CPR certification at the Healthcare Provider (HCP) level required within three months of hire
• Must demonstrate competency on department-specific equipment checklist
• Up to 24 hours of call off available to the facility at no cost during the course of the assignment
