What a typical route day looks like

Start your shift by confirming your route and preparing your tractor‑trailer for the road. You’ll complete all DOT‑required pre‑trip inspections, review route numbers and itineraries, check trailer temperatures, and verify the vehicle is road‑ready. Once you roll, you’ll keep to an assigned schedule, navigating safely to customer locations and delivering orders exactly as promised.

• Drive safely and deliver customer orders according to established routes and delivery windows.
• Use an electronic timekeeping system to log precise arrival and departure times at each stop.
• Survey each delivery site for potential hazards and proper unloading conditions before work begins.
• Verify deliveries with customers, confirm order accuracy, and collect all required signatures.
• Complete assigned backhaul pickups from vendors when scheduled.

Close out with care

• Perform all post‑trip duties: fuel, unhook and secure trailers, and complete DOT logs, DVIRs, and maintenance documentation.
• Participate in required company meetings, safety trainings, and compliance assessments.
• Follow all company safety policies, driving standards, and operating procedures.
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned by management.

What you’ll bring

• Registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL Class A issued by your state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Experience delivering food products preferred.
• Solid knowledge of DOT rules, vehicle inspection procedures, and safe driving practices.
• Ability to complete accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and DVIRs.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, safety‑minded, and focused on great customer service.
