Penmac Staffing is hiring a Packaging Operator for a manufacturing facility in Springfield, MO. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment. The Packaging Operator is responsible for production and sacking equipment, ensuring product quality, maintaining a safe work environment, and meeting production standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent attendance and reliability
Customer service mindset and professional communication skills
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Ability to wear required PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, gloves, and face masks as needed
Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet, and manufacturing environments
Comfortable working around common manufacturing allergens

Responsibilities

Operate sacking and packaging equipment to package products according to production schedules and specifications
Monitor packaging processes to ensure products meet quality and packaging standards
Verify bag weights, labeling, sequencing, and cleanout procedures before, during, and after production runs
Notify plant leadership of any quality concerns or out-of-specification conditions
Safely operate production equipment, including forklifts and other material handling equipment
Complete work orders, production paperwork, and assigned tasks accurately and on time
Maintain a clean work area and complete housekeeping duties according to facility sanitation standards
Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
Communicate production issues effectively with team members and supervisors
Assist with training and mentoring new employees once qualified
Participate in required training programs and work overtime as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership

3rd Shift
Monday through Friday
10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
$23.00 per hour
