A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an HR Generalist

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration:  6 months
Location:  La Crosse, WI 5460

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership, driving employee relations, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining workforce records, managing employee investigations, supporting performance management initiatives, and ensuring fair and consistent HR practices across the organization.

What You'll Bring
Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in employee relations and workplace compliance.
• Proven experience conducting employee investigations and managing sensitive workplace matters.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Solid understanding of employment laws, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action, and workplace compliance standards.
• Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and HR administration processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

What You'll Do

• Act as a strategic liaison between employees and management, fostering open communication and resolving workplace concerns effectively.
• Guide leaders on HR policies, employee relations matters, EEO compliance, workplace conduct, and harassment prevention.
• Lead engaging onboarding experiences and orientation programs that set new hires up for success from day one.
• Conduct and support employee investigations, ensuring fair, objective, and compliant resolution processes.
• Partner with HR leadership to gather documentation, manage case files, and support disciplinary and conflict-resolution procedures.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of employee records while safeguarding confidentiality and compliance standards.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment by championing best-in-class HR practices.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*:  $25.00 - $29.79 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
