Hvac Service Manager

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for an HVAC Service Manager in the Sacramento area to lead field operations, develop technicians, and own the financial health of a commercial service department.

Impact

• Keep technicians productive and customers inside their service commitments.
• Lift service quality through hands-on leadership in the field.
• Own the service P&L: revenue, margin, and inventory.
• Grow the department through proposals and maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities

• Run service operations, dispatch, scheduling, and job priority.
• Hire, train, and mentor technicians on troubleshooting, safety, and customer service.
• Track response time, first-time fix, and callbacks, and improve them.
• Visit sites, resolve escalations, and quote repairs and replacements.
• Manage the service budget and forecast revenue.
• Enforce QA/QC and refrigerant compliance.
• Keep field service software accurate and manage parts and vendors.
• Lead toolbox talks, performance reviews, and on-call rotations.

Must-Haves

• Seven or more years in commercial HVAC service, with time leading technicians.
• P&L responsibility for a service operation.
• Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and refrigerant regulations.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience selling maintenance agreements.
• CMMS or field service software administration.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in the Sacramento area.
