Plumbing/hvac Assistant Project Manager

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a Plumbing and HVAC Assistant Project Manager in Orange County to support delivery of large commercial mechanical projects across HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical scopes.

Impact

• Contribute to on-time, on-budget completion of major projects.
• Help senior project managers keep HVAC and plumbing coordinated on multi-trade sites.
• Keep documentation accurate enough to prevent disputes and delays.

Responsibilities

• Track budgets, schedules, and change orders with project managers.
• Review and mark up drawings and submittals in Bluebeam.
• Monitor installation progress with field superintendents.
• Support Title 24 compliance review and documentation.
• Process RFIs, submittals, and material procurement.
• Attend owner, subcontractor, and coordination meetings and distribute minutes.
• Help prepare cost reports and forecasts.
• Maintain organized project files and document control.

Must-Haves

• Project engineering or assistant project management experience in mechanical construction.
• Bluebeam skills and strong document control habits.
• Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing scopes.

Nice-to-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Healthcare project exposure.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in Orange County.
