Pay: $17.50 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: MondayFriday | 11:30 AM 8:00 PM
Training Schedule: MondayFriday | 9:00 AM 6:00 PM until training is complete
Overtime: Required as needed, including with short or last-minute notice

Build Your Career in the Steel IndustryOpenwork is seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse Associate 2nd Shift for an established steel operation in Northwest Houston. This hands-on position is ideal for someone with experience in warehouse operations, structural steel, material handling, forklifts, cranes, and order fulfillment.
We're looking for a safety-focused team player who can work accurately in a fast-paced environment and has the flexibility to support overtime when business needs require it.
What You'll Be Doing- Fill customer orders according to pick tickets and special instructions
- Verify size, grade, quantity, and heat numbers before completing orders
- Identify and handle structural steel, pipe, and plate materials
- Pull and prepare materials for customer orders and transfers
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks
- Cut materials using saws, shears, iron workers, and burning tables
- Double-check orders to ensure the correct materials are pulled
- Complete required paperwork, customer labels, and equipment inspection reports
- Operate forklifts and cranes to safely move materials
- Use measuring tools, including tape measures and micrometers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous steel manufacturing or steel warehouse experience highly preferred
- General knowledge of structural steel, pipe, and plate steel
- Warehouse and material-handling experience
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and cranes
- Ability to read pick tickets, tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices
- Basic math skills and strong attention to accuracy
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Bilingual skills required
- Ability to safely lift and carry steel materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, lift, climb, bend, and remain physically active throughout the shift
- Strong teamwork, dependability, and reliable attendance
- Must be flexible and available for overtime with short or last-minute notice
- Ability to meet pre-employment background and drug/alcohol screening requirements
