HVAC Estimator

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for an HVAC Estimator in Orange County to produce accurate, competitive bids on major commercial mechanical projects across HVAC, sheet metal, chiller, and boiler scopes.

Impact

• Deliver material and labor estimates that win large commercial work.
• Build thorough bid packages for HVAC and sheet metal systems.
• Find value engineering opportunities across mechanical scopes.
• Bridge preconstruction and project management with clean bid recaps.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs in Trimble AutoBid, QuickPen, and FastDuct.
• Prepare design-build, design-assist, and plans-and-specs estimates.
• Develop conceptual budgets early and refine as design matures.
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Analyze drawings for scope gaps, constructability risks, and value engineering.
• Support project management at bid handoff.

Must-Haves

• Commercial HVAC and sheet metal estimating experience.
• Proficiency with Trimble AutoBid, QuickPen, or FastDuct.
• Ability to estimate design-build and design-assist work.

Nice-to-Haves

• Field or fabrication background.
• Healthcare or life science project exposure.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in Orange County.
