Physical Therapist

Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy services across outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings within a critical access hospital environment
- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages and diagnoses, including complex and acute care presentations
- Participate in specialty therapy areas including wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric services
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs across outpatient, acute care, and SNF units as required
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Active Alaska Physical Therapist license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Must have 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Experience working with pediatric and adolescent patient populations
- Background in multi-setting therapy environments (outpatient, inpatient, SNF)
- Familiarity with specialty therapy areas such as lymphedema, pelvic floor, or wound care
- Housing (typically a 1-bedroom apartment) and a rental vehicle are provided by the facility for the duration of the assignment at no cost to the traveler
- Guaranteed hours of 70 per two-week period, with the opportunity to work across a diverse, multi-specialty therapy department in a unique Alaskan setting
