Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Servo Motor Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, test, and maintain servo motors and related electromechanical equipment at our Stoneville, NC facility. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience troubleshooting motors, bearings, encoders, brakes, windings, and other components, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail.

Position Summary:

o Diagnose and troubleshoot servo motors and related equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.

o Disassemble, inspect, clean, and rebuild AC/DC servo motors and associated components.

o Test motor windings, insulation resistance, continuity, and other electrical characteristics.

o Inspect and replace bearings, seals, encoders, brakes, connectors, and other worn or damaged components.

o Use electrical test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, surge testers, and other diagnostic equipment.

o Perform mechanical measurements using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

o Complete final testing to verify repaired motors meet required electrical, mechanical, and performance specifications.

o Document repair findings, parts used, test results, and completed work accurately.

o Follow established repair procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

o Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

o Assist with troubleshooting customer equipment and provide technical support when needed.

o Identify recurring failures and communicate potential improvements to repair processes.

o Toolbox stocked with basic hand tool/wrench/socket/pliers/pry bars.

Qualifications:

o High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in electrical, electronics, or electromechanical systems is a plus.

o Previous experience repairing servo motors, industrial motors, or similar electromechanical equipment preferred.

o Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical motor components.

o Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

o Experience using electrical and mechanical test equipment.

o Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

o Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

o Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

o Basic computer skills for work orders, documentation, and inventory systems.

Preferred Experience:

o Servo motor repair and rebuild experience.

o Experience with AC and DC motors.

o Familiarity with industrial automation and motion-control systems.

o Experience with encoders, resolvers, brakes, and feedback devices.

o Experience with CNC, robotics, or variable-frequency-drive applications.

o Knowledge of motor winding and electrical testing procedures.

o Experience working with manufacturers such as Yaskawa, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or similar industrial equipment manufacturers.
