Job Description
Experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technician must know how to perform the following procedures:
Venous Duplex Bilateral Lower Extremities (includes documenting reflux using the sequential compression pump)
Iliac and IVC duplex ultrasound (including documenting phasicity, reflux and peak systolic velocity ratio)
Procedure assistance needed for vascular access, venous radiofrequency ablation and sclerotherapy or other procedures as determined by Provider.
Arterial Duplex Bilateral Lower including ABIs
Arterial Duplex Upper Extremities (Subclavian through Radial/Ulnar arteries)
Abdominal Ultrasound of Aorta for Aneurysm (including iliac arteries)
Abdominal Visceral Vascular Ultrasound (Aorta, SMA, IMA, Celiac)
Bilateral Carotid Duplex
Renal Duplex, Vein Mapping for Dialysis access and Bypass Surgeries
Maintain efficient patient Flow
Collaborate with medical assistants in the set-up and clean-up of the treatment rooms before and after each procedure.
Strong communication and people skills.
Optional: Previous experience conducting venous insufficiency ultrasounds and assisting venous ablation procedures.
Education:
Associate's degree or higher level degree or equivalent training, such as coursework in anatomy and physiology, is required.
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Qualifications:
BLS certification and Registration by a recognized institution.'
