About the Role:
Wright Choice Healthcare Agency LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Medication Certification to join our growing team in Lancaster, OH. Responsibilities:
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with individual care plans and state regulations
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Implement individualized support plans and document progress and behaviors
- Provide community integration support and accompany clients to appointments and activities
- Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or well-being to supervisors
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all individuals served
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
- Valid Medication Administration Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and client-focused demeanor
