About the Role:
Wright Choice Healthcare Agency LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Medication Certification to join our growing team in Lancaster, OH. Responsibilities:
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with individual care plans and state regulations
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Implement and follow individualized support plans (ISPs) to promote independence and quality of life
- Document daily progress, medication administration, and any behavioral or health changes
- Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, community outings, and activities
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare providers, and family members
- Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved crisis intervention techniques
Requirements:
- Valid Medication Administration Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, or in a related human services role preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and reference checks
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a person-centered care approach
