Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Lead / Charge Nurse (Day Shift)

Description:

The RN Clinical Lead provides direct patient care while overseeing daily nursing operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. This role serves as a key liaison between nursing, medical providers, and facility leadership, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care in a correctional healthcare environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation.
• Deliver high‐quality patient care in compliance with healthcare standards and in collaboration with nursing leadership.
• Serve in a lead capacity for the clinical team; recommend and support clinical quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide emergency treatment on‐site and respond appropriately to urgent or emergent situations.
• Assist with staffing management, scheduling, and callout coordination.
• Consult with medical providers and recommend treatment protocols aligned with FCH standards.
• Collaborate with nursing management on interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary counseling.
• Support onsite training, staff development, and monthly meetings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform additional duties aligned with FCH’s mission, goals, and values.
