Restaurant Line Cook

Nova Kitchen & Bar is an owner-inspired, Gensler-designed Japanese fusion restaurant celebrating the five elements through modern Asian cuisine. Our upscale casual and fine dining setting features a 300-plus seat restaurant with indoor and outdoor patio seating, along with catering services for events up to 500 guests. We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Line Cook to prepare high-quality, delicious meals that align with our culinary vision and delight our guests. The ideal candidate will work individual contributor shifts with flexibility, including weekends and holidays, delivering consistent results in a kitchen of moderate menu complexity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items using various utensils and grillers
• Stir and turn food during cooking to ensure even preparation
• Dress dishes for exceptional presentation prior to service
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment
• Properly store all food and kitchen items to ensure quality
• Inspect ingredient quality before use
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
• Follow all sanitation procedures strictly
• Communicate effectively within the team to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain excellent physical stamina and work ethic in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in culinary arts
• Experience handling food in a similar kitchen environment
