Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient Located on Cape Cod. This position involves evaluating, planning, and administering treatment programs for adult and pediatric patients to improve function and prevent disability. The role requires effective communication with patients and medical teams to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for evaluating new patients, establishing measurable treatment goals, and providing documentation of patient care. Administers diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests to assess impairments and prognosis. Carries out appropriate treatment modalities and re-evaluates patients as needed, modifying plans based on progress. Provides education to patients and families, communicates with health care providers regarding patient status, and assists in training staff and students. Maintains departmental policies, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and attends meetings.
- Required Qualifications: Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Serves as a clinical resource within a focused area of clinical expertise; plans and conducts treatment programs; assists management with clinical specialty area development and supervision.
