Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to join a critical access hospital's therapy team treating patients across the lifespan.
Details
- Critical access hospital with Level IV Trauma designation, 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
- Therapy department covers outpatient, inpatient, and SNF patients, including wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Clinician may float within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF units
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Alaska state license required (if applicable)
- Compact license must be active and in hand at time of consideration
- Epic EMR experience required
- Pediatric and adolescent experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for consideration
- Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Returning former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the state
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Scrub attire is flexible, with business casual also accepted
- Facility provides housing and a rental vehicle for the assignment duration
