Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some shifts potentially running longer until procedures are completed
• Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are the busiest days
• Thursday and Friday are typically lighter days
• Must have Radiology Tech (RAD TECH) experience
• CV X-Ray Tech must be registered and able to X-Ray cath lab cases
• Scrub experience required; pre and post procedure care experience preferred
• On-call requirement of approximately 15 days in a 6-week time frame with self-scheduling
• Floating to other departments for tasking may be required if short on hours
• Work in 4-person teams with RNs rotating through cath lab holding including pre-op and recovery
• Operate GE equipment in Cath Lab 1 and Philips equipment in Cath Lab 2
• EMR systems used: Meditech and Merge
• Perform procedures including right/left heart caths, peripheral and carotid angio/stents, PE/DVT cases, Impella/IABP, TEE/Cardioversion, PPMs, IVC filters, and ECMO cannulations
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Strong work ethic, team player mentality, and comfort with call responsibilities preferred

This facility is a Heart and Vascular Center located on the first floor of the main building, featuring 6 holding bays and 2 cath lab procedure rooms with a high patient turnover. The department maintains a team-oriented environment with a collaborative staff of cardiovascular technologists and registered nurses working together efficiently. The unit prides itself on a low-drama culture where all team members contribute to achieving excellent patient outcomes.
