Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Critical Access Hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital setting treating patients of all ages and diagnoses
- Therapy department covers outpatient, inpatient, SNF, wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties
- 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
- Level IV Trauma facility
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Must be willing to float within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF areas
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Active state license required; license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Pediatric and adolescent experience preferred but not required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include evaluation and treatment across acute care, outpatient, and SNF settings
- May be required to float between sister facilities as needed
- Scrub color is flexible; business casual also accepted
- Free parking provided on-site
- Facility provides housing and a rental vehicle during the assignment
- Housing accommodates only the traveler; pets are not allowed
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
