HUDD Transportation is seeking CDL-A Owner Operators for opportunities across multiple terminals. With freight available in Savannah, Chicago/Elwood, Memphis, Mobile, New Orleans, Houston, and Norfolk, drivers can access a strong mix of local, port, rail, and regional work with dependable freight and flexible earning opportunities.

Depending on the terminal and workload, typical weekly gross earnings range from approximately $1,000 to $6,000, with several markets offering home-daily or primarily home-daily opportunities.

Available Locations & Earning Potential

Savannah, GA – SAV Terminal

Typical weekly pay is approximately $2,800–$5,000+. Local volume can reach 4–5 moves per day, with Statesboro volume averaging 2–3 moves per day and road freight typically providing one move per day.

Average local moves pay about $140 including FSC, while Atlanta-area moves pay approximately $1,000 including FSC. Drivers have access to a mix of local, road, and regional opportunities.

Chicago / Elwood, IL – ELW Terminal

Typical weekly pay is approximately $6,000, with drivers generally completing 20–30 moves per week.

Pay per move is approximately $175–$220, with daily earnings around $1,200. Freight includes Chicago-Elwood crosstown moves, I-55 corridor freight, rail ramp-to-ramp, rail-to-customer moves, and regional freight throughout surrounding Midwest states.

Approximately 80% of freight is drop-and-hook.

Memphis, TN – MEM Terminal

Mobile, AL – MOB Terminal

Drivers average approximately $2,500 per week, with pay per move varying by lane from approximately $70–$1,100+.

Typical volume is 1–2 turns per day, depending on distance. Opportunities include both local and longer regional freight throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida.

New Orleans, LA – NO Terminal

Typical weekly earnings are approximately $1,000–$2,000+.

Local moves pay approximately $200–$225, while regional moves pay approximately $450–$630 plus FSC. Local Bayer lanes typically provide two turns per day, while regional Yokohama lanes generally provide one run per day.

Most drivers are home daily.

Houston, TX – HOU Terminal

Typical weekly pay is approximately $3,500 gross for a standard driver taking freight as dispatched.

Freight is approximately 95% drop-and-pick, with work centered around the Port of Houston, Greater Houston, the I-10 corridor, and regional markets. Drivers are generally pre-dispatched the day before, with moves visible in the app.

Norfolk, VA – CPK Terminal
