Assembler - Full-time / Part-time

Looking for a hands-on manufacturing job with a consistent schedule and three-day weekends? Penmac Staffing is hiring an Assembler for a client company in the Springfield area. This full-time position is ideal for dependable individuals who enjoy detailed work, following instructions, and building quality products in a team-oriented environment. 

Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 3:45 PM-2:15 AM

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and sample assemblies
• Position and align parts using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and holding devices
• Perform assembly operations such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, soldering, cementing, and press fitting
• Install finished assemblies and subassemblies into cases and cabinets
• Attach hardware including caps, clamps, knobs, and switches
• Perform production tasks such as sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, encapsulating, and color-coding components
• Adjust and trim materials to meet electrical and dimensional specifications
• Conduct go/no-go testing and inspections to verify product quality
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Identify and report workplace hazards
• Work with quality and safety teams to maintain compliance requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to reach overhead as needed
• Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds
