Assembler

Penmac Staffing is hiring an Assembler for a client company in the Springfield area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, attention to detail, and working in a manufacturing environment. As an Assembler, you will help build and inspect electronic components and assemblies while maintaining high quality and safety standards. 

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Job Type: Full-TimeRequirements

• Ability to follow written instructions, production drawings, and verbal directions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work with small electronic components and assemblies
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to comply with safety, quality, and company policies
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, production drawings, and sample assemblies
• Position and align parts using hand jigs, fixtures, and other holding devices
• Perform assembly functions including crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, soldering, cementing, and press fitting
• Install finished assemblies and subassemblies into cases and cabinets
• Attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches
• Complete production processes including sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, encapsulating, impregnating, and color-coding components
• Adjust and trim materials to meet electrical and dimensional specifications
• Conduct go/no-go testing and inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
• Follow company safety and health procedures to help maintain a safe workplace
• Identify and report workplace hazards
• Support environmental, health, safety, and quality initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to reach overhead as needed
• Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds
