Job Description
Apex Structural Innovation, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Wood Truss Designer to join our growing team. This position is responsible for designing roof and floor truss systems, developing placement and production drawings, preparing estimates, and providing technical support to customers, sales representatives, and production personnel.
Candidates MUST have substantial experience designing wood trusses using ITW Alpine Software. Experience limited to CAD, Revit, or general drafting software DOES NOT satisfy this requirement and will not be considered as equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design roof and floor truss systems using ITW Alpine software.
- Prepare truss placement plans, engineering layouts, estimates, and production drawings.
- Interpret architectural and structural plans to determine design requirements.
- Collaborate with customers, sales staff, architects, engineers, and production teams.
- Provide technical support and innovative solutions for project challenges.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of wood truss design experience using ITW Alpine software.
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction plans.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- PlanSwift experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience
