About the Role:
South Richmond Adult Day Care is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caring team in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities:
- Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, health status, and any changes in participant condition
- Support participants during meals, snacks, and hydration throughout the day
- Assist with therapeutic and recreational activities in a group day program setting
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members regarding participant needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all participants
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote participant well-being
Requirements:
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Prior experience in adult care, geriatric care, or a day program setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to working with adults
- Ability to assist with transfers, ambulation, and physical care tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and a committed team player
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
