Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting, requiring 1 year of outpatient experience and AZ licensure (license required if applicable).
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Treats patients across orthopedic, neurologic, and post-op populations, including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op shoulder, spinal, hip, and knee surgeries
- Works with patients presenting cognitive disorders, MS, Parkinson's, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and TBI
- Supervises physical therapy assistants and PT technicians
- Performs work-related evaluations including WorkSTEPS, APET, Work Hardening, Functional Capacity, and ergonomic assessments
Requirements
- AZ PT license required if applicable, must be obtained before start date and in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Charting system experience required (any EMR)
- Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
- Knowledge of billing codes for various payer types
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access
- Maintains communication with referring physicians through timely evaluation and progress notes
- Provides weekly updates to rehab nurses on patient progress
- May assist with scheduling, answering phones, and taking referrals as needed
- Participates in marketing and community outreach initiatives when patient load allows
- Open to first-time travelers
