Position Overview
A leading precision manufacturing organization is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee corporate compliance, contract management, and risk mitigation initiatives across the business. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to executive leadership, responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance while driving efficient contract execution and protecting the organization from operational and commercial risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer, supplier, and employment-related contracts from review through execution.
- Lead contract negotiations and identify potential legal, financial, and operational risks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Support matters related to trade compliance, customs regulations, and export controls.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs across the organization.
- Partner with leadership to promote ethical business practices and corporate governance.
- Provide compliance reporting and recommendations to executive management
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive compliance experience, ideally within Manufacturing and Commercial environments.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of business, commercial, contract, or regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with export controls, trade compliance, customs regulations, or quality standards is a plus.
