Shift/Time Zone: 8 am to 5 pm Mon-Fri

 

Payrate: $35.00/hr. - $40.00/hr. on W2 depending on the exp.

 

 

Job Description (Summary)

 

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supervisor, Supply Chain leads daily operations at an assigned laboratory site or hospital network. Directly supervises a frontline team, owns site-level inventory performance, and serves as the primary supply chain contact for lab and hospital partners on site.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Supports career development for all team members from entry level through Lead Supply Replenisher.
  • Onboards new team members and ensures readiness to perform to standard. Manages daily scheduling, attendance, and site coverage.
  • Owns end-to-end inventory replenishment and receiving operations at the assigned site.
  • Partners with laboratory and hospital operations contacts to align on supply needs and resolve exceptions.
  • Enforces standard work processes across all replenishment, audit, and inventory activities.
  • Reviews and approves daily requisitions and resolves inventory system exceptions.
  • Leads daily operations huddles and participates in weekly management reviews.
  • Owns site supply chain performance metrics, monitors results daily and drives corrective action.
  • Escalates service risks and operational disruptions with urgency and clear ownership.
  • Co-facilitates site-level process improvement activities and sustains outcomes.
  • Maintains visual management standards and site safety and quality compliance.
  • Serves as the primary supply chain contact on site for all materials and inventory matters.

 

Qualifications

 

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in supply chain, materials management, warehouse operations, or healthcare supply.

• Demonstrated experience leading or developing a frontline team.

 

Preferred Work Experience:

• 3 to 5 years in supply chain operations.

• Experience with lean or visual replenishment systems.

• Prior healthcare or laboratory environment strongly preferred.

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Routinely lifts up to 50 pounds.

• Extended standing, walking, and physical material handling throughout shift.

• Valid driver's license meeting company requirements.

• Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.

 

Knowledge:

• Inventory replenishment systems and supply chain operations.

• ERP inventory and requisition management.

• Supply chain analytics and performance monitoring tools.

• Lean operations principles including standard work and visual management.

• Supply chain performance metrics and operational KPIs.

 

Skills:

• Frontline people leadership including coaching, feedback, and accountability.

• Hands-on operational execution while managing a team.

• Clear communication across all levels of the organization.

• Structured problem identification and escalation.

• Continuous improvement orientation.

 

People Leader Responsibility

 

• Reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

• Directly supervises Supply Replenishers and Lead Supply Replenishers at the assigned site.

• Conducts regular performance conversations and annual reviews for all direct reports.

• Recommends salary actions and promotions in partnership with manager and HR.

• Assigns daily work, monitors attendance, and ensures site coverage.

• Develops Lead Supply Replenishers as the primary internal candidates for supervisor advancement.

 

Work Environment

 

• On-site daily presence required at assigned location.

• Laboratory and healthcare environment.

• Physical material handling required.

 

Travel Required

 

• Up to 25% domestic travel.

 

Required Education

 

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Equivalent experience: 3 or more years of supply chain operations with frontline leadership may substitute for formal education requirements.

 

Preferred Education

 

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations Management preferred.

 

Required Technical Training or Professional Licensing

 

• None required.

 

Preferred Technical Training or Professional Licensing

 

• Healthcare supply chain certification, Lean certification, or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
