Maintenance & Inventory Clerk

Location: Elk Grove, CA 95624
Schedule: Full-Time, 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Contract Assignment through December 2026
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour


Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance & Inventory Clerk to support maintenance operations through accurate inventory control, parts procurement, maintenance administration, and recordkeeping. This role is responsible for ensuring maintenance parts, tools, and supplies are properly tracked, organized, and readily available to support equipment reliability and facility operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, computer, and communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of maintenance parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming maintenance materials and parts.
  • Issue parts to maintenance technicians and accurately track inventory usage.
  • Perform routine cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate reordering of parts and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain organized parts rooms, storage areas, and inventory records.
  • Create, update, track, and close work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inventory, and purchasing records within the CMMS.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
  • Generate inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and activity reports.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and deliveries.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams, to manage records and communications.
  • Gather and maintain equipment information, manuals, technical documentation, and maintenance records.
  • Support maintenance projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with administrative, clerical, and reporting tasks.
  • Follow all company safety standards, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in inventory control, maintenance administration, warehouse operations, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong data entry, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, cycle counting, and preventive maintenance processes.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and generating reports preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
