Job title: Business-level Mandarin Speaker - Accounting Operations Manager
Location: City of Industry, CA - Onsite
Duration: Permanent and Fulltime
Pay ranges:
$90,000 to $120,000/year
Requirements:
- Business-level proficiency in English and Mandarin since this role requires frequent communication with the team in China.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 3 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience in operations, inventory, cost accounting, or manufacturing accounting
Preferred Experience
- Distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing industry
- Lean or Six Sigma knowledge
- ERP implementation or process improvement experience
PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial functions related to the organization's inventory operational activities. This role ensures accuracy in reporting, supports decision-making through actionable insights, and partners with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of operational processes, inventory management, and cost accounting, coupled with excellent leadership skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Accounting Oversight:
o Manage and monitor cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
o Oversee financial reporting and analysis of inventory operational metrics.
o Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to operations.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
o Prepare and present financial reports and operational KPIs to senior management.
o Collaborate with supply chain and distribution teams to optimize financial performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
o Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
o Identify and address risks and opportunities within operational budgets.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
o Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial records.
o Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration:
o Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional growth and development.
o Act as a key liaison between the finance department and operations, supply chain, and distribution centers.
Systems & Process Improvement:
o Collaborate with IT and other departments to improve accounting systems and processes.
o Support the implementation of ERP systems or other accounting tools, as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience:
o 3 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on operations, Inventory Management, cost accounting, or manufacturing.
o Previous supervisory experience is required.
Skills:
o Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
o Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
o Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
o Bi-lingual Chinese (Mandarin) and English highly preferred as this job may need to communicate with Chinese speaking people.
