Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive primary care in an innovative outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered approach to care.
The provider will work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient population.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient screenings, histories, and physical examinations.
Evaluate patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment and follow-up care.
Order and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostic studies as needed.
Develop and implement individualized, comprehensive treatment plans.
Diagnose and treat common family and primary care medical conditions.
Perform basic clinical procedures within the scope of practice.
Monitor and manage patients with ongoing and chronic medical conditions.
Provide patient education, counseling, and guidance regarding healthy lifestyle practices.
Identify critical conditions and coordinate appropriate follow-up or additional care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
Communicate test results and treatment recommendations to patients.
Build strong, trusting relationships with patients and encourage open communication.
Maintain productivity and quality-of-care standards.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Participate in a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.
Active, unrestricted North Carolina Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
Family Nurse Practitioner certification preferred for NP candidates.
Master's degree required.
Minimum 3 years of recent primary care experience.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a team.
Strong patient-service and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in an outpatient primary care environment.
