Contract | Days | 4x10, 0700–1730 | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist with electrophysiology cases including device implantations and ablation procedures
• Manipulate angiography equipment, including mobile and digital angiographic systems; select and adjust exposure factors and evaluate and process digital images
• Assist the surgeon or radiologist with diagnostic and interventional procedures, applying sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimal results
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care for cardiovascular patients as needed
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and supplies used in EP procedures; carry out routine department duties when not performing special procedures
• Work collaboratively with radiology staff, OR staff, surgeons, and interventional radiologists; float to other areas as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri RN licensure
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 1 year of EP lab experience
• Proficiency with digital angiography equipment, interventional equipment, PACS, and computers
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Must be able to stand for up to six hours while wearing lead apron, mask, gown, glasses, and gloves

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
