Job Description\nThis position requires the ability to assess, implement, and monitor patient care for outpatients assigned to observation status.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Regularly assess patient needs: Provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's authorized plan of care, adhering to accepted standards of nursing practice. (30%) \n
- Direct patient care: Administer medications, perform treatments, respond to call lights, assist with patient transfers, and attend to alarm alerts. (30%) \n
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness: Assess the treatment plan's effectiveness and collaborate with the healthcare team to update or revise the plan as necessary, utilizing current information to enhance patient care. (20%) \n
- Process physician orders: Accurately and efficiently process physician/provider orders and complete assigned care tasks in a timely manner. (10%) \n
- Follow up on medication changes: Manage and clarify any changes in medications as necessary. (10%) \n

- 2+ years of observation experience. \n
- Epic EMR experience is preferred. \n
- Current and active Michigan nursing license. \n
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. \n
- \n
- 36-hour weekly guarantee. \n
- Availability to work every other weekend. \n
- No on-call requirements. \n
